The figure above is Mr Kudzordzi, also known as Papavi Hogbedetor leader of a separatist group that declared independence for Western Togoland last Saturday.

Its reported that, he fled to Togo after pronouncing freedom for his people and now tailed by the Police.

Latest information communicates that, The CID is working on the processes to place him and other leaders of the Homeland Study Group Foundation ( HSGF) on Interpol red alert watchlist.

A press statement from the office of the Information Minister, Hon Kwadjo Oppong Nkrumah dated November 18, informs and admonishes the public to disregard the claims by the group whiles Ghana remains a sovereign state which has not ceded any part of its territory to any person or group of people.

FULL STATEMENT

The government of Ghana takes note of the activities of a group known as the Homeland Study Group Foundation , purporting to declare secession from Ghana.

Ghana remains a sovereign state which has not ceded any part of its territory to any person or group of people.

While admonishing the public to disregard the claims by the group, the general public is hereby informed that state security agencies are taking necessary measures to ensure that persons involved with the illegal act are dealt with according to the law.

Ghana security agencies remain in firm charge if Ghana’s territory and encourages all persons to continue with their daily activities normally.
