The president Nana Addo has lifted the ban on churches, mosques and on the educational institutions amidst the outbreak of Covid19.
The president addressing the nation on the 10th time on measures taking against the spread of the pandemic has stated that ” a maximum number of one hundred congregants can worship at a time in the church or the mosque”.
Stating that all various churches and mosques should observe a mandatory one-metre rule of social distancing.
In addition to the mandatory wearing of facemasks, a register of names and contact details of congregants and handwashing facilities and hand sanitisers must be provided with a maximum duration of an hour for each service effective from 5th June 2020.
According to the president, effective on 15th June 2020, all educational institutions should reopen for final year JHS, SHS and Universities to resume classes ahead of the conduct of the respective exit examination.
JHS final year classes will comprise of 30 students, SHS with 25 and Universities lectures will take place with half the class size.
