Today’s district-level elections didn’t end without confusion and all sort of apathy being necessitated around various electoral areas.
Two polling stations at Trom electoral Area in the New Juaben south municipality over the position of candidates on ballot papers among other unfortunate actions to halt the election during the process.
One of the candidates, Ernest Afrifa withdrew from the race few weeks to the polls. The EC assured his name will not be on the ballot. Therefore, the fourth Candidate-Edward Brobbey-Gyasi on the initial list was to be placed third on the ballot, however that did not happen.
This created confusion as supporters of the Edward Brobbey-Gyasi agitated against the EC for deception.
According to them, they campaigned on number three(#3) position based on the assurance by the EC that he will be placed on the third position.
