Organizers of 3Music Awards has introduced a new project on their scheme to promote and empower female music makers across the country.
The project dubbed “Women’s Brunch” according to the organisers seeks to shine the spotlight on the violence and abuse Ghanaian women face daily and to call out the toxic narratives that fuels the such happenings.
With their course, they aim at putting ladies first and create a safe space for them to develop into stars and models for other women.
Stated by the organisers, they are initiating such project to help open the doors for hardworking female acts to stay on top of their game and to leverage music, entertainment and popular culture to influence the discourse, policy, flip the scripts and inspire the next generation of female professionals.
The event will be hosted by the ladies of the 3music awards board in the line with the award’s social impact campaign to highlight the need for more female inclusion in the entertainment industry.
On the other hand, the event will bring together top Ghanaian female entertainers to celebrate ghanian female artistry.
In addition, the event will seek to reward some Ghanaian female trailblazers in the arts and feature performances from some of today’s notable and budding female talents.
At the end, female acts will be encourage, empower, supported and develop across board highlighted by consistent messaging and narratives at event in between performances and awards.
